Scoring Rules for MediaFest

See the separate rules page for a description of the divisions and entry requirements. Entries may be submitted by individual students or teams.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be picked in each division by a panel of judges using the scoring below. Each winning student will receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place ribbon, and the 1st place team will receive a trophy.

Every student submitting an entry will receive a 3 star, 4 star, or 5 star ribbon based the on quality of their work as determined by a panel of judges using the scoring below.

Students or teams may submit more than one entry for showing at MediaFest. A student or team may win more than one trophy if they place first in more than one division.

Other media than those listed above may be shown but will not be rated. We have discovered that only entries of the same media can be compared fairly.
